PRIVATE INVESTOR PREVIEW

Terms of Service

Private preview terms for Ruby Scripting Language documentation, tools, and game demos.

Back to Ruby Report a demo issue Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 5, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of HeyRuby.dev, a private investor preview for the Ruby Scripting Language, documentation, code examples, and game demos. The site is operated by Real Games, Inc. ("Real Games," "we," "us," or "our").

By accessing HeyRuby.dev, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

1. Private preview

HeyRuby.dev is a private preview. It is provided for evaluation, discussion, demonstration, and development purposes. Please do not distribute private links, scrape the site, republish materials, or present demo content as a final public product without written permission from Real Games.

2. What Ruby is

Ruby Scripting Language is an experimental game scripting language and interpreter direction designed to make games easier for humans and AI systems to read, explain, remix, and evolve. Examples may be native Ruby demos, hybrid demos, wrappers, technical stress tests, or documentation samples. We try to label demos honestly, but the language and tooling are still changing.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Attack, overload, crawl, scrape, reverse engineer access controls, or interfere with the site.
  • Use the site to upload, transmit, or request unlawful, harmful, infringing, abusive, or deceptive content.
  • Misrepresent your relationship with Real Games, Ruby, Hey Ruby, or any demo shown here.
  • Copy private materials into public repositories, public posts, or competing products without permission.
  • Remove notices, credits, limitations, or labels from demo materials.

4. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, Real Games and its licensors own the site, Ruby materials, documentation, source examples, design, text, branding, and original demo content. These Terms do not transfer ownership of any intellectual property rights.

Some demos may be experimental conversions, compatibility tests, references, parodies, homages, or technical studies. We respect creators and rights holders. If something appears on HeyRuby.dev that you believe should be removed or changed, use the takedown system below.

5. Demo content is experimental

Game demos may be incomplete, unstable, inaccurate, or changed without notice. They are provided to evaluate Ruby language design and demonstrate technical direction. Do not rely on demos as production software, legal advice, investment advice, or a final representation of product capabilities.

6. Easy demo takedown and concern system

We want issues to be easy to report. If you have a concern about a game demo, asset, title, likeness, trademark, copyrighted work, credit, attribution, safety issue, privacy issue, or anything else posted on HeyRuby.dev, email us and we will review it.

What to include

  • The URL of the demo or page involved.
  • A plain-English description of the issue.
  • What you want us to do: remove, disable, credit, edit, restrict, clarify, or contact you.
  • Your name and contact information.
  • If this is a copyright, trademark, likeness, or other rights issue, identify the work or right you believe is affected and explain your relationship to it.

Our review process

  • We may temporarily disable or hide a demo while reviewing a credible complaint.
  • We aim to acknowledge credible demo concerns promptly and resolve straightforward issues quickly.
  • For urgent or obvious issues, we may remove first and investigate second.
  • For disputed issues, we may ask for more information, make a limited edit, keep the demo offline, or decline the request if we believe it is not justified.

Copyright notices

If your report is a formal copyright notice, please include enough information for us to identify the copyrighted work, the material you claim is infringing, your contact information, a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized, a statement that the information is accurate, and your physical or electronic signature.

If you believe material was removed by mistake, you may contact us with a counter-notice explaining why. We may require additional information before restoring anything.

7. No warranties

The site and all materials are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent allowed by law, Real Games disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and error-free operation.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Real Games will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, or business interruption arising from or related to the site or these Terms.

9. Changes and suspension

We may change, suspend, remove, or restrict access to any part of the site at any time, including demos, documentation, code examples, and private preview access.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
